Finding a location that reads "sweltering tequila party as from Black Snake Moan" when it's minus ten outside is its own kind of sport. We ended up in a school gymnasium staircase — normally covered in kids' art projects, which really sets the mood. We had a few hours between the afternoon bell and the first kids walking through the door in the morning to strip it all out, dress it as some kind of opulent baroque rave, shoot the whole thing, and put the children's drawings back before anyone noticed. I imagine Tuesday morning was a confusing one for the twelve-year-olds.
